Through steady offense and strong defense, the Lady Panthers cruised to a 45-35 home win over Sweetwater Tuesday night.
Thanks to nine points from Tyler Powers, the Lady Panthers grabbed an early 11-6 lead after the opening quarter and extended it to 22-15 at halftime.
They held the Lady Wildcats to just six third quarter points and tallied 11 themselves - with six coming from Catherine Hunley. After three, the Lady Panthers held a 33-21 lead.
Sweetwater's offense came alive in the fourth, scoring 14, but Lenoir City tallied 11 to clinch the win.
