The winning streak snapped at seven Tuesday night as the Lenoir City Panthers fell on the road to Catholic 50-48.

The Panthers lost earlier in the year by two points to the Irish and couldn't get the vengeance they sought as Catholic won the second half by five points and, thus, the game.
The Panthers hadn't lost since falling at home to Bearden on Dec. 15, but the combination of Taylor Broussard and Lucas Branch pushed the Irish to victory.
Broussard and Branch combined for 28 points, with Broussard getting 11 of those in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers got 40 of their points from Tyler Hood and Jordan Hall, but the rest of the team combined for just eight points.  The Panthers also shot just 50-percent from the free throw line (9 for 18), while the Irish hit 10 of their 15 shots.
The Panthers did enjoy a six point lead after the first quarter, as they jumped ahead 13-7.  That lead narrowed, however, as the Irish posted nine points in the second and held the visitors to just six.
Despite the poor second quarter, Lenoir City led at the break, 19-16.

Catholic took control in the third, however, as Branch hit a pair of threes and Matt Cox contributed a field goal and four free throws.
The Irish outscored Lenoir City by seven in the period and took a 35-31 lead to the fourth.

The Panthers got 13 from the Hall/Hood duo in the fourth, but Broussard's 11 points in the period ensured Catholic's victory.

Hood led all scorers with 26 points while Hall followed with 14.  Broussard finished with 16 and Branch added 12.
