Two more candidates have picked up petitions for county mayor, bringing the total number running to three Republicans and one Democrat.

The newest candidates to pick up petitions include Loudon County Trustee Estelle Herron and Loudon resident Gregory Hackney, who is currently in the Lincoln Memorial University's master's program for education. Both are Republican candidates, along with county school board member Van Shaver.

Lenoir City Mayor Matt Brookshire  is the lone Democrat candidate.

Current County Mayor Doyle Arp, a Republican, also has a petition out, though he has announced he no longer intends to seek reelection.
