The Redskins were a bit slow starting Friday night, but avoided a Halloween upset with a 36-7 home win over Kingston.  The win was the sixth in a row for the Redskins (8-2, 3-2) and secured any lingering questions about their playoff situation.  Who the Redskins will play Friday night, however, was still in doubt as of press time.

Quarterback Wade Plemons was unable to play against Kingston, but the Loudon offense didn't miss much with Matthew Wallace at the helm.

After the defense forced a three and out, the Loudon offense took the field and drove 50 yards in seven plays for the first score of the game.  Wallace capped off the drive with a nine-yard pass to DeJay Johnson for the touchdown.  K.C. Rader's extra point was blocked, leaving the score at 6-0.
The Kingston offense then put together a drive of its own, as a fake punt moved the ball from the Kingston 31 to the Loudon five.  On the next play, however, Chad Purdy ripped the ball from Kingston's Cody Groves and Nick Roach fell on the loose ball.

The Redskins put together a drive to get into field goal range, but the Rader field goal sailed wide and Loudon came away with no points.

After a pass interference call on the next drive, however, Loudon got the ball right back on another fumble.  Devan Grissom knocked the ball loose and recovered it himself, giving his team possession at the Yellow Jacket 42.

Two plays later, Jake Brown broke a 28-yard touchdown with 6:58 left in the half.  Rader hit the PAT this time, giving Loudon a 13-0 lead.
Loudon forced another punt on the ensuing drive and the Redskin offense quickly turned the possession into points.

On the third play of the drive, Luke Newman found running room and dashed 24 yards for the score.  The PAT was no good once again, leaving the advantage at 19-0.
The Yellow Jackets then put together what appeared to be the final scoring drive of the half.  An eight-play, 69-yard drive ended with a Kyle Gough one-yard touchdown run and a converted point after.

It appeared, with 14 seconds left when Loudon took over, that the Yellow Jackets would enter halftime trailing 19-7.  The Redskins had other ideas, however, as Wallace hit Grissom for a 48 yard gain to the Kingston 14 yard line.

Loudon Head Coach Jeff Harig quickly got the timeout called, setting up a 31-yard field goal attempt for Rader.  The kick sailed easily through the uprights, sending Loudon to the locker room leading 22-7.
Neither team scored on the opening duo of possessions in the third quarter, but Loudon found paydirt on its second drive.

The Redskin offense began at its own 42 yard line and, after Brown rushed for one yard, Grissom broke loose for a 57 yard touchdown dash.  Rader's PAT was true and Loudon led big, 29-7.
On the first play of the next Kingston drive Roach tipped a Gough pass and picked it off.  Three plays later, Loudon was back in the end zone on a seven-yard Brown run.  Rader hit the point after to secure the 29-point win.

Brown led the Loudon offense with 108 yards on 13 carries.  Wallace finished the night completing six of his nine passes for 98 yards.
After the game Harig said his quarterback could have gone if the need arose, but sitting him out was precautionary.

The Redskins will play Friday night at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the playoffs, but as of press time the opponent and location were yet to be determined.
