Published: 01/21/2013

Willie Louise (Allison) Johnson, 91, passed away at Shannondale Healthcare on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Willie was born in Loudon County to Bill and Mamie Allison on March 15, 1922.

She is preceded in death by parents; husband, William B. Johnson; daughter, Carol LaRue; granddaughter, Allison Markham; grandson, Benjamin Markham; three sisters and three brothers.
Willie was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church for many years where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and spent a number of years ministering to the shut-in members.

She enjoyed a career of services at Rocky Hill Elementary School cafeteria, home beauty salon and sales associate at K-Mart in Bearden.

She is survived by daughters, Debra (Leonard) Markham, Brenda (Dan) Sexton; son, Brad (Gina) Johnson; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jerry Goodwin, two sister-in-laws, one brother in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express much gratitude to the third floor staff at Shannondale for nine years of devotion and excellent care for our mom. You were there when we could not be – and you loved her as your own.

We celebrate Willie's life and the resurrection of Christ at 1 p.m. Friday at Click's Funeral Home Lenoir City, with the Rev. Brad Johnson and Dr. Leonard Markham officiating.

Visitation was from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in mom's memory to the Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church Building Fund, 130 Towne Centre Way, Crossville, TN 38571 or The Gideon International, www.gideons.org/HowYouCanHelp/Give.asp.
