Troy Lee Pesterfield, 77, Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 14, 2012 at his home.
He was a loving husband, father and friend. Troy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict.
He was a retired ironworker. He was a loyal, devoted Christian and attended Second Baptist Church. Troy loved gospel and country music and was well known for his music and singing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bronce Pesterfield and Sue Childs Pesterfield Bailey; step-mother, Juanita Pesterfield Ferguson; sister, Carrie Jean Johnson; and brother, Jerry Wayne Pesterfield.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Dyer Pesterfield; son, Leslie Pesterfield, of Lenoir City; brother, Bronce Pesterfield, of Friendsville; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Clifford Reagan and wife, Linda of Atlanta, Ga.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Harrell and the Rev. Larry Brannon officiating. Family and friends gathered at the funeral home by 10:30 Saturday morning and proceeded to Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services. Military honors were conferred by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
