Kathleen K. McConkey of Lenoir City passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at the Fort Loudoun Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lee McConkey; by her father, Charlie Roger Kirby Sr.; by her mother, Nola May Sutton; by her brothers and sisters, Henry Jackson Kirby, Carrie Lou Jamerson, Margaret A. Kirby, Alvin Deadrick Kirby, Annie Bell Biggs, Lucy Mae Proaps, Mollie Jane Hunt, Mary Elizabeth Fritts, Zelma Lee Reynolds, Martha Ann Kirby and Daniel Lee Kirby; and by her sons-in-law, Gary Lynn Brackett and Randall Eugene Duncan.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Jim Beckett of Miami, Fla., Mary and Gary Moats of Lenoir City, Patsy and David White of Loudon, Joyce Duncan of Lenoir City and Cathy Davis of Middlesboro, Ky.; her son, Mat McConkey of Lenoir City; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; by her brothers and sisters, Pearl Silvey, Charlie Roger Kirby Jr., Warren Taylor Kirby, Clifford Kirby, Irene K. White, and James Bradford Kirby; and by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Riner and the Rev. Donny Crass officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 9:30 a.m. Saturday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 10 a.m.
