Willie Dean Nelson Brown, 76, of Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Dean was a retired employee of Yale Security and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. (Babe) Brown; her children, Clarissa, Crandle and Gary Brown; her parents, Arthur Nelson and Lucy Love McPherson; and by her sister, Minnie Wooldridge.

She is survived by three children, Dennis Brown of Knoxville, Patrick (Dena) Brown of California and Kathy Brown of Philadelphia; by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Brown of Knoxville; her grandchildren, Shea, Paige, Shamarcus, Alyiah, Anthony, Kayla and Kendra Brown; her great-granddaughter, Alyssa Brown; by her special friends, Kim Brown and Rhonda Nesbitt, Jimmy (Sarah) Brown of Philadelphia, Cecil (Lila) Brown of Ohio, Paulette (Humphrey) White of Loudon; her great aunts, Willie Mae Smith of Loudon, Alice Carmichael of North Carolina and Katherine McKitric of Ohio; her devoted friends, Bill and Margaret Booher, Christine Cleveland of Philadelphia and the Nesbitt Family of Knoxville; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family received visitors Friday. Funeral services followed immediately after in the Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles E. Yancy officiating. Interment was in Philadelphia Cemetery.
