Clide Irvin Bentley, 72, of Countyline Road in Pelham, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at his residence.   
Born on Sept. 28, 1937, in Mitchell County, Ga. to the late Roscoe and Lois Palmer Bentley, Mr. Bentley was a retired construction worker.  

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Macel A. Bentley; by his  parents Roscoe and Lois Palmer Bentley; by his brothers Wallace Bentley, Ben Bentley and Lee Roy Bentley; and by his son-in-law Evans Pollock.  

Mr. Bentley is survived by his sons, Michael I. Bentley of Pelham, Ga. and Dewaine Bentley and wife, Kathy, of Loudon; by his daughter, Cindy B. Pollock of Pelham, Ga.; by his grandchildren, Dylan Bentley of Tennessee, Tiffany Bentley of Northrop, Texas, Kendra Bentley of Maine, Cody Bentley of Maine, Phillip Pollock and wife, Brooke, of Pelham, Ga., Kandi Pollock Harden and husband, David, of Pelham, Ga. and Josh Pollock of Pelham, Ga.; by his great-grandchildren, Drew Harden, Kole Harden, Danyelle Pollock and Wyatt Graves; by his brothers, R. B. Bentley and wife, Jerri and Floyd Bentley and wife, Shelby; and by his sisters, Janice Russ and husband, Franklin, Kay Royal and husband, Roger and Avaleen Eubanks and husband, James.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel in Pelham, Ga.  The Rev. Doug Hall will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Franklin Russ.  Pallbearers will be Derrick Bentley, Travis Bentley, Mike McDowell, Johnny Russ, Casey Russ, David Bentley, Danny Anglin, Jamie Eubanks and Jeff Bentley.  Interment will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
