Edith Watts Hicks, 82, of West Lee Highway in Loudon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at UT Hospital.
Edith was a long time member of V.F.W. Post 5150 and American Legion Post #120 in Loudon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.J. "Cobb" Hicks; by her daughter, Patty Watkins; her parents, Willie and Leo Justice Watts; and by her brother, Charlie Watts.

She is survived by her special friend, Eddie Akins; her daughter, Brenda Hill of Lenoir City; her sons, Richard Massey, Bobby Massey and Jimmy Joe Hicks of Loudon; by her special friend, Cindy Nix; and by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Thomas officiating. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to service at the funeral home.
