Hobart C. Hart. Jr. was born in Roane County on Oct. 6, 1929, son of the late Hobart C. Hart, Sr. and Dollie Harvey Hart.  He was united in marriage to Lora Ileen Simpson on Nov. 21, 1953.  Mr. Hart worked for 35 years as an  electrician with the Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of IBEW. He was a Mason and a member of Cave Creek Baptist Church in Kingston. He has lived in Selmer for 38 years.

Mr. Hart departed this life on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at McNairy Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years, three months and 18 days.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lora Ileen Simpson Hart of Selmer; his two sons, Larry W. Hart and wife, Sharon of Selmer and Michael J. Hart of Adamsville; his sister, Faye Burnett and husband, W. D. of Lenoir City; his three brothers, William Hart and wife, Brenda of Loudon, Johnny Hart and wife, Jean of Lenoir City and Chester Hart and wife, Teresa of Maryville; his four grandchildren, Lani Coats and husband, Josh, Austin Hart and wife, Crystal, Kayla Hart and Marcus Hart; and by his great-granddaughter, Lillian Coats.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Larron King officiating.
Interment will follow in McCalips Chapel Cemetery.
