The Rev. Homer H. Bohanan, 75, of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 21, 2009, at his home.
Homer was a Baptist minister and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Kingston. He was a retired saw mill operator and a former employee of the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Mary Bohanan; his son, Richard Bohanan; his brothers, Everett and Claude Bohanan; and by his sister, Margaret Harbin.
Homer is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary O. Bohanan; his daughter, Katheryn Johnson and her husband, Gene Johnson; his grandson, Dustin Johnson; his son, Tommy Bohanan and his wife, Sonya Bohanan; his daughter, Loretta Cameron and her husband, Earl Cameron; by his granddaughter, Tia Cameron; his other granddaughters, Amy and Kim; his sister, Ruby Estep; his brothers, Troy and Junior Bohanan; and by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Randy Griffis will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbott Cemetery.
