Reba Peterson Rollins, 88, went to be with Our Heavenly Father at 9:15 a.m. Thursday morning, June 18, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Kay in Athens.

She was a resident of Lenoir City and had lived with her daughter the past three years. Reba was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City where she was a member of Dick DeMerchant's Sunday School Class which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a wonderful Godly wife and mother, and a lover of God's Word. Reba was a former employee of Yale and Town Corporation in Lenoir City.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James W. Rollins; her parents, Charles E. Peterson and Elizabeth Vaden Peterson Widner.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Shramawick of Aliquippa, Pa., Jean and Bernard Giles of Loudon and Kay and Dennis Frank of Athens; her sons and daughters-in-law, Willard and Josie Rollins of Lenoir City, Wayne and Betty Rollins of Loudon, Ronnie Rollins of Kingsport and Nolen and Clarice Rollins of Estero, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Ben Peterson of Knoxville; and by her special care givers, Ms. Angela and Ms. Wanda.

The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Funeral services followed at 6 p.m. at the church. Family and friends gathered at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. Sunday and proceeded to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 1 p.m. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons: John Glenn Shramawick, Jimmy Rollins, Xan Giles, Alan Rollins, Brent Frank and Brad Frank.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 2085 Simpson Road E., Lenoir City, TN 37772.
