He enjoyed reading, collecting movies and being in the Cub Scouts. Joseph had a strong Christian belief and a great love for God.  He was a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed being with his Nana and Papa and his Mamaw and Papaw and meeting new people at the Coning Family Farm Market.  Joseph had impeccable manners, he was always polite and was loved by all who met him.  He touched people through his smile and his love of life.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Abby Coning (6 months gestation). Joseph is survived by his parents, Bobby and Nicole Coning of Maryville; his twin brother, Jesse Coning; his grandparents, Albert and Betty Coning of Maryville and Tom and Sandi Koeshall of Maryville; his uncles and aunts, Tim and Regena Koeshall, Billy and Lynn Coning, the Rev. Richard and the Rev. Tammy Wright and Joel and Beth Vasquez; his cousins, Samuel, Hannah, and Miriam Koeshall, Will Coning, Rachel, Rebecca and Sarah Wright, Mary Beth and Jacob Lane and Andrew Vasquez; and a host of other family and friends who had an impact on Joseph's life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, in the Smith Trinity Chapel with the Rev. Richard Wright officiating.  Interment will be Saturday, June 20, at Carpenter's United Methodist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Joseph Coning Memorial Fund at any Regions Bank.  Family will received friends Friday at Smith Mortuary in Maryville.
